Hondo Maclean, a Welsh post-hardcore and metalcore band from Bridgend, Wales, formed in 2001. The group emerged from the South Wales hardcore scene and gained wider recognition through touring with former Jackass star Steve-O and their own headline tours. Early releases include Plans for a Better Day (2003) and Chasing Angels (2003). In 2005, Hondo Maclean released their debut full-length album, Unspoken Dialect, but disbanded in February 2007. Former members Gavin Burrough and Rich Boucher later joined Funeral for a Friend. In July 2011, the band reunited for two one-night-only shows. In November 2014, they released their second studio album, The Truth; The Fiction, recorded under the name The Future.
