Daniel Menche, born on December 4, 1969, in Portland, Oregon, is an American experimental musician and multidisciplinary artist. Self-taught, his recording activity began with the album Incineration (1993), followed by Static Burn (1994) and Legions in the Walls (1995). Over the next decades, his catalog expanded to include works such as Field of Skin (1997), Beautiful Blood (2003), and Kataract (2009). He has collaborated with artists who include Kiyoshi Mizutani, Aaron Turner, and Kevin Drumm. His releases have appeared on record labels such as Soleilmoon, Alien8, and Editions Mego. He has performed live in North America, Europe, and Asia. In addition to music, his work includes abstract stop-motion video art and soundtracks for short films such as Dirt (1998) and Hope and Prey (2004).
