Shalosh, an Israel-based band, was formed in 2013 in Tel Aviv by pianist Gadi Stern, drummer Matan Assayag, and bassist Daniel Benhorin. David Michaeli later replaced Daniel Benhorin as the bass player. Shalosh is known for their genre-blending style, mainly between jazz rock and electronic music. Their debut album, The Bell Garden, was released in 2014 and was named Album of the Year by the Israeli newspaper Israel HaYom. In 2016, they released their second album, Rules of Oppression. Shalosh has performed approximately 350 concerts worldwide within their first decade. The band’s name refers to the Hebrew word for “three.” Subsequent albums include Onwards and Upwards (2019), Broken Balance (2020), and Tales of Utopia (2023).
