Sons and Daughters were a Scottish indie rock band from Glasgow, formed in 2001. The group released its first single, "Johnny Cash," in 2004, followed by "Dance Me In" and "Taste the Last Girl" in 2005. Their debut release, the mini-album Love the Cup, was originally issued in 2003 and reissued in 2004 after the band signed to Domino Records. Their second album, The Repulsion Box, followed in 2005. The single "Gilt Complex" was released in 2007, and their third album, This Gift, produced by Bernard Butler, came out in 2008, alongside the single "Darling/This Gift." The band's fourth and final album, Mirror Mirror, was released in 2011, preceded by the free download "Silver Spell." Singles from that album included "Breaking Fun" and "Rose Red." In 2012, the band announced they were disbanding, bringing an end to eleven years together.
