Robbers on High Street was an American rock band from Brooklyn, New York, formed in 2002 by Ben Trokan, Steve "Sparky" Mercado, Tomer Danan, and Jeremy Phillips. They signed to Scratchie/New Line Records by the end of 2003 and released their debut EP Fine Lines in 2004. Their first full-length album, Tree City, followed in February 2005. Morgan King replaced Phillips, and Trokan took over drumming for Grand Animals, released in 2007. Notable songs included "Love Underground" and "Big Winter", featured in various films and TV shows. The band toured with acts like Cake and The Redwalls. They released their album, Hey There Golden Hair, in 2011, and the EP Anything Could Happen in 2012. Co-founder Steve "Sparky" Mercado passed away in December 2021 at age 43.
