Craig Taubman was born in 1958 in Tennessee and is an American singer-songwriter, composer, and community leader based in Los Angeles, California. He grew up in Los Angeles in a Conservative Jewish family and began performing at age 15. His early independent albums included Moment to Moment (1985) and Encore (1989). He later signed with Walt Disney Records, where his group Craig 'N Company released Morning 'N Night (1992), Rock 'N Together (1992), and Rock 'N Toontown (1993). After his time with Disney, he launched his own record label in 1995 and received a Dove Award for the album Imaginit (1996). From 1999 to 2014, he co-created the monthly musical service Friday Night Live at Sinai Temple, which led to the release of the album Friday Night Live (1999) and the Saturday service album One Shabbat Morning (2002). In 2013, he and his wife Louise founded the Pico Union Project, a multi-faith cultural arts center.
