Iyael Iyases Tafari Constable, known professionally as Glamma Kid and born March 14, 1978, in Hackney, London, England, is a toaster and former Royal Air Force trainee of part-Jamaican descent. He received the Best Reggae Act award at the MOBO Awards in 1998. In 1997, he collaborated with the dance duo Basement Jaxx on the single “Fly Life”. In 1999, he released the single “Taboo”, which reached number 10 on the UK Singles Chart, followed by “Why”, which also peaked at number 10. In 2000, he released his debut album, Kidology, which reached number 66 on the UK Albums Chart. He also worked with Beenie Man and Jamelia on the song “Bling Bling Bling” and featured Estelle on the track “Computer Love”.
