Mikrokosmos23

Mikrokosmos23, a German emo‑rock group formed in 2005 in Meißen, featured vocalist Peter Löwe. The band’s name references their first rehearsal room number in Meißen, and they quickly gained a reputation as a live act after releasing their debut on a DIY Hamburg label. In 2008, they issued a limited 10‑inch split with Captain Planet and Matula that sold out within ten months. Their sophomore LP Memorandum was produced by Kurt Ebelhäuser and released in 2009. The single "Knightrider Generation" received an eight‑week rotation on MTV. Mikrokosmos23 was highlighted by Intro magazine as the sole German band in the development of the emo‑phenomenon genre, solidifying their place in Germany’s underground scene.
