Daniel Lemma is an Ethiopian-born Swedish singer-songwriter and musician born on October 12, 1970, in Addis Ababa. He achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized by roots music with ties to blues and gospel and for his breakthrough studio recording Morning Train (2001) which achieved gold certification. Lemma achieved professional recognition for a career that began after he moved to Sweden as an infant and formed his first ensemble in his teens. He achieved professional recognition for being a member of the ensemble Mo Blues and releasing the studio recording For the Road (1997). His recording career included recording an unreleased album for the label Pallas Records in New York. Lemma achieved professional recognition for recording the soundtrack for the movie Jalla! Jalla!
