Richard Youngs, born on May 29, 1966, in Cambridge, is an English musician based in Glasgow. His musical journey began with the release of Advent in 1990, marking the start of his extensive discography. Over the years, he has released numerous EPs and albums, including Autumn Response (2007), Under Stellar Stream (2009), Beyond the Valley of Ultrahits (2009), and Amplifying Host (2011). His work is characterized by a diverse range of styles, from folk to progressive rock to improvisation. He has collaborated with various artists, notably Simon Wickham-Smith, Matthew Bower, and Alex Neilson. He has also performed live with Jandek, appearing on several albums recorded during the reclusive singer-songwriter's rare live performances. Throughout his career, he has released music through multiple independent labels, including VHF, Jagjaguwar, and his own imprint, No Fans Records.
