Ola Magnell, born Nils Olaus Lennart Karl Magnell on January 20, 1946, in Skälby gård, Kalmar, Sweden, was a Swedish singer-songwriter and guitarist. He started performing as a troubadour during his high school years and eventually began writing his own songs, influenced by early 1960s rock and contemporary American singer-songwriters. Magnell began his career as a lyricist for artists such as Siw Malmkvist and Lill Lindfors. Throughout his career, he released several albums, including Höstkänning (1977), Onkel Knut (1984), and Neurotikas Motell (1989). Magnell passed away on February 6, 2020.
