Disbelief is a German death metal ensemble from Dieburg established in 1990. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized by death metal and for the variable vocals of Karsten Jäger. The ensemble was founded by Jäger, the guitarist Oliver Lenz, the guitarist Denis Musiol, the bassist Jochen Trunk, and the drummer Markus Gnap. Their recording career began with several demo recordings followed by the debut studio recording Disbelief (1997) produced by Andy Classen. Disbelief achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Worst Enemy (2001) released on the label Massacre Records. They achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Shine (2002) and signing with the label Nuclear Blast in 2004. Their discography included the studio recording 66sick (2005) produced by Tue Madsen and the studio recording The Symbol of Death (2017). The ensemble achieved professional recognition for the studio recording The Ground Collapses (2020) which reached number 93 in the German charts. Their recording career included the studio recording Killing Karma (2024).
