Krisma, formerly known as Chrisma, was an Italian new wave and post-punk group formed in 1976 by Maurizio Arcieri and Christina Moser. The duo began their career with the single "Amore" (1976) released on Polydor Records, followed by a reimagining of Odyssey's "Who" titled "U" (1977). Their debut album Chinese Restaurant (1977) marked a shift towards punk and new wave influences, produced by Niko Papathanassiou at Nemo Studios in London. In 1979, they released their second album Hibernation, noted for its electronic rock sound. In 1980, the group renamed itself Krisma and released Cathode Mamma (1980), which included the hit single "Many Kisses". This period saw them innovate with multimedia and video clips. In 1982, they released Clandestine Anticipations followed by Fido in 1983 and Iceberg in 1986 The group disbanded in 2015 following Maurizio Arcieri's death on January 29 of that year. Christina Moser passed away on October 13, 2022.
