The Orchestre royal de chambre de Wallonie, founded in 1958 as Les Solistes de Bruxelles by violinist Lola Bobesco, is a Belgian chamber orchestra. Initially known for its string ensemble, the group evolved through several name changes and leaderships, including notable directors such as Philippe Hirshhorn, Jean-Pierre Wallez, Georges Octors, and Augustin Dumay. The orchestra became a regular collaborator with the Concours musical international Reine Élisabeth de Belgique, accompanying renowned solists like José van Dam, Mstislav Rostropovitch, and Arthur Grumiaux. Under the direction of Frank Braley from 2014 to 2020, and subsequently Vahan Mardirossian, the ensemble performed extensively in Belgium and internationally, including venues such as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris.
