Growing up influenced by his father's love for jazz and classical music, Yugo Kanno started learning piano at age four. His passion for music continued through his education at the Tokyo College of Music, where he majored in composition and film scoring. His professional career began in 2004 with his work on the Fuji TV drama series Last Christmas. Over the years, he has contributed to numerous television dramas, including Ai no Uta (2005), Engine (2005), Galileo (2007), and Sherlock: Untold Stories (2019). His style blends orchestral, jazz, rock, and electronic elements, which has made him a sought-after composer.
