Vivi Vassileva, born in 1994 in Hof, Germany, is a percussionist focused on classical music. She started playing violin under her father's guidance before switching to percussion at age eight. By 13, she had performed with the Bundesjugendorchester. Vassileva studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München, earning a bachelor’s degree and continuing her master’s studies under Raymond Curfs. In 2011, she became a solo percussionist of the Mannheimer Philharmoniker. Notable performances include her debut as a soloist in Lichtenfeld and appearances at festivals like LvivMozArt in 2018. She is known for using unconventional percussion instruments, including recycled materials. Vassileva's awards include the Bayerischer Kunstförderpreis in 2017 and the Leonard Bernstein Award in 2023.
