Milk 'N' Cookies, an American power pop band from Long Island, New York, was formed in 1973 by singer‑guitarist Ian North, guitarist Jay Weiss, drummer Mike Ruiz, and later bassist Sal Maida. The band emerged from North’s home‑recorded demos and gained attention in the CBGB scene. Their first single, "Little, Lost And Innocent" backed with "Good Friends", was issued by Island Records in 1975 but did not chart, leading to a delayed release of their self‑titled album the same year. After the record sold poorly and Island focused on North’s solo career, Milk 'N' Cookies disbanded. The band, without North, reunited in 2005 to perform at the radio Heartbeat Power Pop Fest in Brooklyn. North, who had gone on to form bands like Ian's North Radio and pursued a solo career, died on February 28, 2021.
