Inframonolithium is a Belgian funeral doom project founded in 2017 by Stijn van Cauter. Van Cauter described the project's music as raw funeral death doom, characterized by its extremely slow and majestic pace, as well as an exploration of philosophical themes within a fantastical narrative framework. Initially conceived as a solo endeavor, Inframonolithium began with the release of Demo I: Laments in 2017 which was made available for free download via Bandcamp and van Cauter's homepage. The project gained further traction with the album Mysterium, released in 2018. Inframonolithium's second album, The Lightless, followed in 2019, in collaboration with Endless Winter.
