Uzeda, an Italian alternative rock band, was formed in Catania, Sicily, in 1987 by lead singer Giovanna Cacciola, guitarists Agostino Tilotta and Giovanni Nicosia, bassist Raffaele Gulisano, and drummer Davide Oliveri. Their debut album, Out Of Colours, was released in 1991, marking the beginning of their musical journey. Following this release, they met Steve Albini, who recorded all subsequent albums except for The Peel Sessions, an EP released in 1994 after a performance on the John Peel Show. Nicosia left the band in 1995. After a long break, Uzeda returned with their album Stella in 2006. Oliveri and Gulisano also worked on Gianna Nannini's 2001 album Aria and Enzo D'Alò's animated film Momo alla conquista del tempo.
