Ostkreutz was a German rock band formed in Berlin in 2004 by musicians Maximum and Minimum. The group later added video artist Medium to their lineup, and they signed with Warner Music Group. Ostkreutz released the maxi-single Gangbang in 2006, followed by the album Motor.  The band's performances were known for integrating music with synchronized video sequences, a concept they termed "audiovisual terror." Ostkreutz played several concerts in the summer of 2006, including as an opening act for Dir En Grey and appearances at festivals such as Rock am Ring / Rock im Park and With Full Force. Their lyrics were written in both German and a fantasy language inspired by Slavic languages.
