Arcwelder, a punk rock band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, was formed in 1987. Initially known as Tilt-A-Whirl, they released their debut album, This, in 1990 on Big Money Inc., but changed their name due to a trademark infringement lawsuit. Renamed Arcwelder, the band continued with Jacket Made in Canada (1991) and Pull (1993), which was praised by Magnet magazine. They toured extensively, sharing stages with acts like Jesus Lizard and Jawbox. Notable singles include "I Am the Walrus / Sign O' the Times" (1992) and "Raleigh" (1992). Their album, Everest, was released in 1999. In 2024, Arcwelder released their first full-length album since 1999, titled Continue.
