Although Bertrand Bonello started out as a musician, it was as a film director that he made his name. So it's hardly surprising that in his films and shorts, music plays an important part, whether it's his own or that of other artists. The music of Blonde Redhead transcends the staging of the short film Cindy: The Doll Is Mine in 2005. Bertrand Bonello was nominated for a César in 2012 for the score of L'Apollonide (Souvenirs de la Maison Close), released in 2011.
