The Casting Out was a US post-hardcore band from Newark, Delaware. Formed in 2007, the group initially included singer Nathan Gray and guitarist Joshua Latshaw, both former members of boysetsfire. The band's debut material was recorded with six musicians, but Latshaw later left due to health issues. Their first releases were two EPs, including Your Last Novelty and The Casting Out, both released in 2007. In September 2009, the band gained prominence in Germany through an appearance on the soap opera Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten. In the same year, they released their debut album, Go Crazy! Throw Fireworks!, followed by The Casting Out!!! in 2010. Despite these releases, the band announced its disbandment via Twitter in October 2010.
