Antonino Martínez Ortega, known professionally as Paco Ortega, was born on October 28, 1957, in Úbeda, Jaén, Spain. He is a Spanish singer and record producer specializing in pop and flamenco music. Ortega began his career in the mid-1970s, releasing his first album, La Vida Tiene Solución, in 1977. In 1987, he gained prominence as part of the duo Paco Ortega e Isabel Montero. His solo career took off with albums like Calaíto Hasta Los Huesos (1998), La Magia del Barrio (2002), and Ven Acá Pacá (2004). Ortega has composed songs for numerous artists, including Camarón de la Isla and Paco de Lucía. His compositions have been featured in various films, earning him a Goya nomination for best original song in 2004. As a producer, he has worked with Niña Pastori and Diego El Cigala.
