Christina Rosenvinge is a Spanish singer-songwriter born on 29 May 1964 in Madrid. She began her musical career in her adolescence as a member of the punk group Ella y Los Neumáticos and later formed the pop duo Álex & Christina. In 1991, she began a solo career under the name Christina y Los Subterráneos, releasing the album Que me parta un rayo in 1992. The recording achieved success in various South American countries and earned a platinum certification in Spain. Subsequent releases included the albums Cerrado (1997), Frozen Pool (2001), Foreign Land (2002), and Continental 62 (2006). Between 1999 and 2006, Rosenvinge resided in New York and focused on the English-speaking market. In 2008, she released the Spanish-language album Tu labio superior, which featured collaborations with Steve Shelley and Chris Brokaw. Her later discography included the recordings La joven Dolores (2011) and Lo nuestro (2015). In 2018, Rosenvinge released the conceptual album Un hombre rubio and received the Premio Nacional de las Músicas Actuales from the Spanish Ministry of Culture.
