Lee Ryan is an English singer, songwriter, and actor born June 17, 1983 in Chatham, Kent, England. Ryan trained at the Belcanto London Academy and the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts before becoming lead vocalist of the boy band Blue. The group sold over 15 million records worldwide and achieved hit singles including “All Rise” and “Breathe Easy”. Following Blue's split in 2004, Ryan released his debut solo single “Army of Lovers” in July 2005, which reached number 3 in the United Kingdom and Number 1 in Italy. Ryan released his self-titled debut solo album Lee Ryan in 2005, reaching number 6 in the United Kingdom and number 3 in Italy, followed by the UK top 20 singles “Turn Your Car Around” and “When I Think of You”. In 2010, Ryan released the single “I Am Who I Am / Secret Love” under Geffen Records. Ryan rejoined Blue in 2011, representing the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “I Can”, and released the album Colours with the group in 2015. Ryan portrayed Harry "Woody" Woodward on the television series EastEnders from 2017 to 2018 and voiced a character in the animated film Ice Age: The Meltdown (2006). In 2021, Blue announced a 20th-anniversary tour and subsequently released the studio album Heart & Soul in 2022, featuring the single “Haven't Found You Yet”.
