Arca is a French electronic and rock ensemble active since 2000. The group was established by the musicians Joan Cambon and Sylvain Chauveau. They achieved professional recognition for a project incorporating literary and cinematic references. Their recording career began with the debut studio recording Cinématique (2001). Their discography includes the studio recording Angles (2003). They achieved professional recognition for the studio recording On ne distinguait plus les têtes (2007). The ensemble includes the videographer Karine Fages, who integrates visual imagery into their performances. Their recording career includes the studio recordings By (2011) and Forces (2018).
