Chocolat is a psychedelic rock band formed in 2007 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Jimmy Hunt formed the band with members of Demon's Claws and Cockroaches. They released their first EP, EP , in 2007. They followed this up in 2008 with the album Piano Élégant, which was nominated for Alternative Album of the Year at the ADISQ Gala. After a break of almost five years, during which Jimmy Hunt devoted himself to his solo career, Chocolat released the album Tss Tss in 2014. The song " Burn Out " gets a lot of airplay on rock radio stations. This album is nominated at the ADISQ Gala for Alternative Album of the Year. In 2016, the album Rencontrer Looloo wins the Félix for Rock Album of the Year at the Gala de l'ADISQ and is on the Long List of the Polaris Music Prize. In 2019, the band releases a double album, Jazz Engagé. It is nominated for Rock Album of the Year at the Gala de l'ADISQ. Chocolat takes part in various concerts and festivals, including NXNE, Les Franco de Montréal, the Festival de musique émergente, GAMIQ and M pour Montréal.
