Dej Loaf, born Deja Monét Trimble in Detroit, Michigan, United States, on April 8, 1991, is an American rapper and singer. She began her music career in 2011 and released her debut mixtape, Just Do It, in 2012. She achieved widespread recognition in 2014 with her single “Try Me”, which reached number 45 on the Billboard Hot 100 and received gold certification from the RIAA. That same year, she signed with Columbia Records, released her mixtape Sell Sole, and contributed to the single “Detroit vs. Everybody” alongside Eminem, Royce da 5'9", Danny Brown, Big Sean, and Trick-Trick. In July 2015, she released her debut extended play, ...And See That's the Thing, which reached number 47 on the Billboard 200 and featured the platinum-certified single “Back Up” featuring Big Sean, reaching number 47 on the Billboard Hot 100. That year, she was also featured on Kid Ink's single “Be Real”, which reached number 43. Dej Loaf subsequently released the mixtapes All Jokes Aside in 2016 and Fuck a Friend Zone with Jacquees in 2017. Her standalone singles include “No Fear”, which reached number 100 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2017, and “Liberated” with Leon Bridges in 2018. She released her extended play 'Go DeJ Go' Vol. 1 in 2018, followed by the extended plays It's a Set Up! and No Saint in 2020. In October 2020, she independently released her debut studio album, Sell Sole II, featuring guest appearances by Big Sean, Gunna, Rick Ross, Lil Uzi Vert, and 6lack. In 2025, she released the collaborative studio album Fuck a Friend Zone 2 with Jacquees.
