On The Last Day, a post-hardcore band from Seattle, Washington, was formed in mid-2003 by Geoffrey Walker (vocals), Justin Johnson (rhythm guitar), Frank Gross (lead guitar), Aaron Johnson (bass), and Drew Dowell (drums). Their initial release was the EP Wars Like Whispers in 2005. The band's debut album, Meaning in the Static, was released in 2006 through Victory Records. In early 2007, Carson Allen joined as keyboardist and later became the vocalist after Geoffrey Walker left to join Again and Again. In 2008, they released their second EP, Make It Mean Something, which reached number 3 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart through Torque Records. Following the departure of Dowell and a hiatus announced in September 2009, the band effectively disbanded.
