Das Koolies are a UK-based electronic music group formed by members of the Welsh band Super Furry Animals—keyboardist Cian Ciarán, drummer Dafydd Ieuan, bassist Guto Pryce, and guitarist Huw Bunford. Emerging as a distinct creative outlet for the quartet, Das Koolies delve into experimental, genre-blending territory, fusing electronic, techno, industrial, and psych-pop sounds with bold visual aesthetics and conceptual storytelling. Following years of side projects and studio exploration, Das Koolies officially formed in the late 2010s, offering a more synthetic and avant-garde extension of the playful eccentricity long associated with Super Furry Animals, releasing their debut single, "It's All About the Dolphins," in 2020. Their work often reflects on themes of modernity, technology, and cultural flux, driven by a DIY ethos and a penchant for boundary-pushing production. The group released their first album DK.01 in 2023, followed by Pando in 2025.
