Anders Olof Wendin, known professionally as Moneybrother, was born on March 16, 1975, in Norrtälje Parish, Stockholm County, Sweden. He began his music career as a songwriter and frontman for various bands, including Superwed and Monster. In 2003, he released his debut solo album Blood Panic under the name Moneybrother, which won a Grammis for best rock album and included the single "Reconsider Me" that became an alternative summer hit in Sweden. His subsequent album To Die Alone, released in 2005, reached Number 1 on the Swedish charts and number 37 in Germany. In 2009, he released Real Control under Hacka Skivindustri. Moneybrother's style blends elements of soul, reggae, pop, and rock, and he has won Swedish Radio P3 awards for Male Artist of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, and the Gold Mic.
