Milan Smrčka, known professionally as Záviš, was born on September 27, 1956, in Znojmo, Czechoslovakia. He is a singer and poet who gained prominence for his contributions to folk music, particularly "pornofolk", which uses obscene words in songs. Záviš's career began with the release of Určeno Pro Uši Rabijáků in 1998, marking his debut in the music industry. Following this, he released several albums, including Slunce V Duši (2000), Záviš, Syn Vojáka (2001), and Sejdeme Se Na Věčnosti (2002). His work often draws on autobiographical elements with references to his hometown. Notable albums such as Když Prší (Folklove Balady) (2006) and Bože, Já Jsem Vůl! (2008) further solidified his presence in the Czech music scene.
