Daïtro was a French screamo band from Lyon, Rhône-Alpes formed in 2000 by Julien Paget, Samuel Moncharmont, Benoit Desvignes, and Thomas. Their early sound was chaotic hardcore punk influenced by bands like Orchid. In 2004, Aurelien Verdant joined as the vocalist, and Gwenael Grosclaude became a permanent member on bass. They released the debut EP Des cendres, je me consume (2003), followed by the first full-length album, Laisser vivre les squelettes (2005). They toured extensively across Europe, Asia, and North America, including a US tour in 2007. Their second studio album, Y (2009), was released by Purepainsugar. They took a hiatus in 2012 before disbanding permanently.
