Rachel's was an American chamber music group formed in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1991. The group initially consisted of Jason Noble on guitar, Christian Frederickson on violin, and Rachel Grimes on piano. Their debut album, Handwriting, released in 1995 via Quarterstick Records, received positive reviews and established the band's unique sound, which blended classical music with contemporary elements. Rachel's continued to release albums including Music for Egon Schiele (1996), The Sea and the Bells (1996), Selenography (1999), and Full On Night (2000). Their final album, Systems/Layers, was released in 2003. The group disbanded in 2012 following the death of Jason Noble from cancer on August 4, 2012. Edward Grimes also passed away on March 25, 2017.
