Gammacide was a thrash metal band from Arlington, Texas, formed in 1986 by Rick Perry and Eric Roy. The duo previously played together in a local cover band called Warlock. In March 1987, Gammacide performed their first concert in Fort Worth. They released their debut demo in the summer of 1987, which included the track "Shock Treatment" on the compilation Thrash Metal Attack II. The band's lineup expanded with Scott Shelby joining as a second guitarist in November 1988. Their first and only album, Victims of Science, was recorded in Dallas and released in 1989 by Wild Rags Records. After several lineup changes, the band continued to perform across various states until their hiatus in late 1992. Gammacide reunited for a show on Valentine’s Day 1998 and again in 2004, leading to the re-release of Victims of Science with additional tracks by Gamma Records in 2005.
