Hanna Helena Pakarinen is a Finnish pop and rock singer born on April 17, 1981, in Lappeenranta. Before her music career, she worked as a forklift driver and process worker. She reached wider visibility after winning the first season of the television program Idols in 2004. Pakarinen received 431,000 votes in the final and signed a recording contract with label Sony BMG. Her recording career began with the debut single "Love Is Like a Song" (2004), which reached Number 1 in Finland. She released the debut studio recording When I Become Me (2004), which received platinum certification. Her discography included the studio recording Stronger (2005) and the studio recording Lovers (2007), both of which were certified gold. Pakarinen represented Finland in Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song "Leave Me Alone" (2007). She released the studio recording Love in a Million Shades (2009) followed by the Finnish-language studio recording Paperimiehen tytär (2010). Her later releases included Olipa kerran elämä (2013) and Synnyin, elän, kuolen (2016). She released the single "Sun aika tulee vielä" in 2021.
