Cornu was a French alternative rock group formed in 1996 in Tours, France. The band consisted of Julie Bonnie on violin and vocals, Ben Bernardi on drums, and Alex Bonnie on bass. Following the dissolution of Forguette Mi Note, the group released their self-titled debut studio album, Cornu, on February 3, 1998. They performed as the opening act for Louise Attaque and Dionysos on tour before releasing their second studio album, À 3, on April 11, 2000. The latter featured Yann Tiersen playing violin and viola on the track “Que cet amour”. The group also contributed a cover of Georges Brassens's track “Les copains d'abord” to the compilation Les Oiseaux de passage (2001). Despite recording a demo for a proposed third album and performing as the opening act for Les Rita Mitsouko, the group disbanded in 2004 due to difficulties finding a record label. After the group's dissolution, Julie Bonnie pursued a solo career, which included releasing a solo album in 2001 before transitioning into writing.
