Émile Naoumoff, born on February 20, 1962 in Sofia, Bulgaria, is a French pianist and composer. He began his musical education at an early age, studying piano under Liliana Panaiotova and later Nadia Boulanger until her death in 1979. Naoumoff entered the Paris Conservatory in 1975, earning his first prizes at 16. Naoumoff's career featured performances at venues like the Berlin Philharmonic and the Musikverein in Vienna. He has recorded extensively, releasing albums such as Mozart: Piano Concerto No. 24 K. 491 (1990) and Fauré: Requiem Op. 48 (2001). His work has been recognized with the Medal of the City of Paris. Naoumoff has also taught at institutions like the American Conservatory in Château de Fontainebleau and the Indiana University, and given masterclasses worldwide.
