Edward Wynne, born June 3, 1961 in Wandsworth, London, England, is an English guitarist and keyboardist. Encouraged by family friend George Harrison to pick up the guitar at age seven, Edward Wynne formed Ozric Tentacles in 1983 with his brother Roly Wynne and other members at the Stonehenge Free Festival. The band blended rock music with jazz fusion, ambient dub, world music, and electronic music, incorporating heavy usage of synthesizers and samplers. After several line-up changes, Ozric Tentacles became increasingly guided by Edward Wynne, who took on responsibilities for beat programming and studio efforts. He has remained the only original member of the band. In 2019, Edward Wynne released his debut solo album Shimmer into Nature, followed by Tumbling Through the Floativerse in collaboration with Gre Vanderloo in 2022.
