Émile Prud’homme was a French accordionist and conductor born on March 6, 1913, in Aubervilliers. He achieved professional recognition for a musical career characterized by the musette genre and for performing as the accompanist for the musician Édith Piaf. Prud’homme achieved professional recognition for a career that included appearing in the movie Sous les toits de Paris (1930) directed by René Clair. He achieved professional recognition for appearing in several movies as an accordionist including Un mauvais garçon (1936), Circonstances atténuantes (1939), and Impasse des vertus (1955). His recording career included the studio recording Musette Tyrolienne, the studio recording Roucoulades d’Oiseaux, and the studio recording Le Merle Chante. Prud’homme died on July 17, 1974.
