Grand Drive is a London-based country rock group led by brothers Danny and Julian Wilson, who were born in Australia and raised in South London, and whose music is distinctly tinged by American influences. Formed in 1997, the band has released music through labels including Václav, Loose Music, RCA Victor and Gravity/BMG, and its current lineup features Danny Wilson, Julian Wilson, Ed Balch and Tim Weller, with Paul Wigens among its past members. Their first single, "Tell It Like It Is", appeared in 1997, followed by "On a Good Day" and "Wrong Notes" in 1998, and the debut album Road Music arrived that same year. They continued with True Love and High Adventure (2000), See the Morning In (2002), The Lights in This Town Are Too Many to Count (2004) and Everyone (2007), alongside singles such as "A Ladder to the Stars" (2001), "A Little Like You" (2003) and "Maybe I'm a Winner" (2004). Compilations include Grand Drive (2003) and Being Alive: Loose Wheels and Latchkeys 2000-2005 (2005). Danny Wilson also fronts Danny and the Champions of the World, and released the side project The Famous Mad Mile (2005), while Julian Wilson recorded Lullabies for the Discerning Baby (2005) as Ansty Cowfold.
