Rachel Coleman, born Rachel de Azevedo in Van Nuys, California, is an American singer and actress. After discovering her child was deaf in 1998, she learned sign language and co-created the educational video series Signing Time! with her sister Emilie de Azevedo Brown in 2001. The series teaches basic American Sign Language (ASL) and was broadcast on public television. Coleman's work includes albums such as Signing Time! Songs: Volumes 7-9 (2005), and Baby Signing Time Songs, Vol. 1: It's Baby Signing Time (2005). In 2007, Coleman and her father won a Pearl Award for their children’s songs.
