Kingston Wall, a psychedelic/progressive rock group from Helsinki, Finland, was formed in 1987 by Petri Walli. Initially known as Moonshine Makers, the band underwent several lineup changes before settling on Walli (guitars, lead vocals), Jukka Jylli (bass, backing vocals), and Sami Kuoppamäki (drums, percussion). Their first performance under the name Kingston Wall occurred in September 1988. The band's debut album, Kingston Wall, was released in 1992, featuring the cover of "Fire" by Jimi Hendrix. In the summer of 1992, they began incorporating techno elements into their music, leading to the release of their second album, II, in 1993. Kingston Wall continued to evolve their sound with subsequent albums, including III Tri-Logy, released in 1994. Their final public performance took place at Lepakko in Helsinki in December 1994, followed a few days later by what became their last-ever show at Sörnäinen Prison in Helsinki. Petri Walli died on June 28, 1995.
