Sutari is a folk group formed in Warsaw, Poland, in 2012 by Basia Songin, Kasia Kapela, and Zosia Zembrzuska. The trio debuted at the Nowa Tradycja Polish Radio Folk Festival in 2012, receiving second prize and the audience award. Their music draws on traditional Polish songs and polyphonic singing while incorporating original compositions, percussion, self-made instruments, and everyday objects. Sutari released their debut album Wiano in 2014, followed by Osty (2017) and Siostry Rzeki (2020), the latter receiving a Fryderyk nomination in the World Music category. Zembrzuska left the group in 2020 and was succeeded by Asia Kurzyńska, who remained until 2021, followed by Dobromiła Życzyńska from 2021 to 2024. In 2022, Sutari collaborated with Bastarda on Tamoj, an album drawing on Polish, Lithuanian, and Belarusian musical traditions that received a Fryderyk nomination. The group released #kołysankidlaświata on 29 February 2024, an album centered on the tradition of lullabies. Karolina Matuszkiewicz subsequently joined the group, performing alongside Songin and Kapela in the current lineup.
