Deep Obsession, a New Zealand music group formed in 1996, consisted of Zara Clark, Charlie Lawson, Vanessa Kelly, and Christopher Banks. The band began recording their debut album in 1997 and signed with Universal Music's New Zealand branch in 1998 after the release of their first single "Lost in Love", a cover of Air Supply’s song that reached Number 1 on the Official New Zealand Music Chart. Deep Obsession achieved three consecutive Number 1 singles with "Cold" and "One & Only". Their debut album, Infinity, released in 1999, sold platinum within weeks. The group performed alongside artists such as Hanson and S Club 7. In 2000, Zara Clark was nominated for "Best Female Vocalist" at the New Zealand Music Awards, while Vanessa Kelly won "Most Promising Female Vocalist." The band later released the song "Miracles" in 2003, which charted to number 34 from radio airplay alone. Deep Obsession disbanded in 2003.
