Without Face, a Hungarian progressive metal band, was formed in Veszprém in 1997. The group featured a dual female and male vocal lineup. In 1998, they released their demo (Men) Without Face. This led to a deal with Hammer Music Productions for their debut album Deep Inside, released in 2000. In 2002, Without Face signed a four-album deal with English producer Lee Barrett from Earache Records and released the full-length album Astronomicon that year, which received favorable reviews, earning Album of the Month in the magazine Metal Hammer. The band went through several lineup changes before disbanding in 2008.
