MullMuzzler, also known as James LaBrie's MullMuzzler, is a Canadian metal band formed in 1999. The group served as a side project for James LaBrie, the lead vocalist of Dream Theater, and included Matt Guillory on keyboards and piano, Mike Mangini on drums, Mike Keneally on guitars, and Bryan Beller on bass. MullMuzzler released their debut album Keep It To Yourself in August 1999. The band's music blended progressive metal with melodic pop-rock elements and acoustic ballads. In 2001, they released their second studio album, MullMuzzler 2. The group officially changed its name to James LaBrie's MullMuzzler in 2005 and released the album Elements of Persuasion that same year. Subsequent albums included Prime Cuts (2008), Static Impulse (2010), Impermanent Resonance (2013).
