Stefanie Werger is an Austrian musician, author, and cabaret artist born on July 2, 1951, in Maria Lankowitz. She achieved professional recognition for a musical career characterized by pop and rock and for winning the Amadeus Austrian Music Award for best female artist in 2003. Werger achieved professional recognition for a career that began after she studied the piano, flute, and violin and performed with professional dance music ensembles. Her recording career began with the debut studio recording Die Nächste bin ich (1982) followed by the studio recording Lust auf Liebe (1985) which achieved gold status. Werger achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Intim (1986) which achieved triple gold status, and the studio recording bzw. beziehungsweise (1989) which achieved platinum status. Her discography included the live recording ganz nah (1996) and the studio recording Mit uns die Zeit (1998). She achieved professional recognition for receiving an honorary prize for her lifetime achievement at the Amadeus Awards in 2014. Werger achieved professional recognition for her final studio recording Langsam wea i miad (2021) and concluding her final tour in 2022.
