Die Stoakogler was an Austrian folk ensemble from Gasen established on February 2, 1968. The ensemble was founded by musicians Fritz Willingshofer, Hans Willingshofer, and Reinhold Willingshofer. Initially performing under the name Stoakogler Trio, they reached wider visibility in the mid-1980s through appearances on television programs such as Musikantenstadl. In 1993, the group renamed themselves Die Stoakogler when the musician Franz Böhm joined the ensemble. Their recording career began with the debut studio recording Das Stoakogl Trio spielt auf (1974). Die Stoakogler established their status in the genre with the hit single "Steirermen san very good" (1992), which won the Austrian preliminary round for the Grand Prix der Volksmusik. Their discography included the compilation recording Almfrieden (1983), the studio recording Super samma (1996), and the studio recording Einfach aber ewig (1997). The ensemble received 13 gold and 1 platinum certifications from the Austrian music industry. Die Stoakogler became inactive on September 3, 2011, following a final performance in Fernitz.
